Yura first joined the IDiA Lab as an undergraduate research intern in September 2023 and continues her work now as a research intern since earning her Bachelor’s in Computer Science in 2024. Her work primarily focuses on using MRI images and quantified measurements of liver fat and iron content to train deep learning models how to correctly classify various liver pathologies. The ultimate goal of her work is to help improve the clinical assessment of various liver conditions. Outside the lab, Yura enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time with her two cats.
